I have a B.A. from UNI with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Journalism. Yep. I can write copy for you too. Oh, and I graduated in 1987 (ok, so do the math and figure out how old I am).




Job Experience...

Teleconnect - For those of you who remember, Teleconnect was the large local telecommunications company that later became Telecom, then McLeod, and I believe it's now owned by Paetec. I created presentations, newsletters, and mostly internal corporate communications pieces for them from 1987, after graduation, until 1989, when I decided agency work was more my "thing".


CMF&Z - I had the privilege of working for the largest ad agency in Iowa from 1989 until it's demise in 2002 when agencies all over the country began to restructure. It really didn't affect me much since I had just had my 3rd child and was seriously considering being a "stay-at-home mom" anyway. THAT didn't work out so well, though.

While at CMF&Z, I created ad campaigns, designed annual reports, billboards, logos, corporate identity programs, websites, catalogs and even some TV commercials


  Ahmann Design - After the "stay-at-home mom thing" didn't work out and the agency looked like it wasn't going to survive, I apprehensively went to work with my husband at our own home design company doing pretty much all of the same things I did at the agency, including exclusive work for our builder clients. He'd been bugging me about working with him for years, and I was pretty nervous about seeing him everyday, but it's all good.


Ditto Marketing - I am lucky enough to be able to do freelance work for my own company that I affectionately call Ditto Marketing....Ditto, meaning I'm an Ahmann, too. Between working on all of Ahmann Design's projects, and my own freelance work, I have been lucky enough to have designed some pretty cool stuff these past 6 years while working on my own.
